COVID-19 has caused unprecedented health, economic, and social challenges. Across all dimensions, women face disproportionate risks, which will further exacerbate entrenched inequalities. The paths for building forward stronger are clear. Data shows that healthy women yield healthier societies, as demonstrated by Merck KGaA’s Healthy Women, Healthy Economies and Embracing Carers initiatives which quantifies the interdependencies between women’s health, women’s work and economic growth. This initiative demonstrates that healthier women lead to healthier economies and strives to put an end to women being excluded in the economy.
